Living La vida Lockdown

Since we are in a worldwide lockdown with most events cancelled for the foreseeable future, social media has been set ablaze with juicy live sessions between artists and fans – from live DJ sets by some of the country’s best in urban music beaming energetic rave vibes from their living room to yours; meaning you don’t even have to leave your house (Which hopefully becomes a thing of the future to combat those cold nights of waiting on long queues just to actually get into the club!)

We reflect on 5 of the best live sessions in the past couple of weeks for you to take a look at and recommendations on who to look out for in the foreseeable future:

Invasion crew
@invasioncrew

The international DJ crew are well versed for pulling all kinds of banger out of the bag and more specifically their love slow jam session on Sunday 5th April. They had listeners on their toes by playing classic 90’s bangers and asking them to comment fire emojis to rewind the track, or comment “badder” if they wished for a bigger and better anthem to be switched to next.
Keep an eye out for these guys if you don’t already follow them – deffo a shutdown whenever they perform.

Manny Norte
@mannynorte

Mr Many Norte had everyone including celebs such as Reggie Yates tune in and commenting on the feed as if they really were in the club  “Who keeps stepping on my loafers…”
Manny Norte took us from current club bangers with Dutchavelli’s – if they only knew, to Boy Better Knows – Too many man, blending into Afro beats Mr Eazi bangers and eventually due to heavy request – (90’s and early 00’s) basement segment.
Which left us all anticipating the next rave… (sorry live!)

Lethal B vs Lethal Bizzle
@lethalbizzle

A few weeks ago, Lethal B caught up with the Grime Godfather Wiley via Instagram live where they spoke on scheduling a clash between them going back to back dropping the best of their hits, verses, and dubs for the viewers to chose a champion.

Lethal scheduled the clash for Friday evening, only for Wiley to do…well…what Wiley is know for doing – and not showing up.

So after Lethal took to live expressing his disappointment, he put his best foot forward and clashed the best person who could reputably fill Wiley’s shoes – himself.

Lethal B Donned his circa 2003 attire (including his £2000 avirex) and dropped some of his catalogue of real old school beats, songs, verses, and anthems Taking us back to the original Grime era Bizzle, to present day Bizzle.

Not sure when he’ll be back on live again but definitely worth a follow just in case he pops up for part 2!

  1. Lethal was kind enough to record the show and upload to his YouTube channel. As the the link below :

Trilllary banks
@trillaryofficial

The Leicester Queen has been giving us a entertainment straight from her living room, making us laugh and providing a platform for anyone who wants to freestyle or sing to showcase their talent to her audience.

From a Q and A live stream myself @londonrebel__  she spoke on who she thinks is next up to blow in 2020 – to random men stripping down naked and showing their willies to her amusement- yes you read that correctly. Trillary’s IG live makes you feel like you are catching up with your mate after a long week for a chat, vibe, and laughter with a dose of Britain’s got talent.

A special shout out to female talent @_brownasia who performed on Trillary’s live – A very talented MC who we hope to see more of.

Trillary hasn’t scheduled another date but usually appears on live from 9pm.

Swarmz
@swarmz_

The Lyca artists live feed has made blogger news constantly in the last few weeks as he has been known to have followers twerking up a storm!

Some followers have been flashing the flesh like a strip club in full effect whilst Swarmz even gives the courtesy of asking what track they would like to twerk to and asking viewers their opinions on the performances;

So move over Lil Boosie and Torey Lanez – we have a UK Host contender for the Instagram live stripper bowl right here!

Unfortunately Swarmz’s live platform has been locked down until 25th April by Instagram however, he promises to be back with the same content to appease his now 1 million followers which he recently celebrated the milestone of with … well more twerking from some lovely ladies!

Keep your eyes peeled (after watershed hours) from 25th to see more.
